Titan Travel
There is this general conception that the more expensive a holiday destination is, the lesser time people want to spend there. And it's true! There is a feeling of excitement when we travel to countries and an entire meal at their restaurant costs the same if not cheaper than let's say a movie ticket back home. The best way to fish out these types of destination is through a travel agency. Another way is hearing about the destination through a friend or family that visited the place. For travel agencies, you can check out Titan Travel, as they claim to help clients plan their holidays, trips or weekends, and they have a connection in virtually every country around the world. No Fly Cruise Holiday
We booked a holiday 14-day holiday travel to South Africa with Titan Travel but we were not impressed! The airline failed to collect us from our home as promised by Titan Travel and when we landed in South Africa, all our bags were missing. We had to spend the whole day in the airport waiting for them while everyone else was on their tours! Titan Travel is not doing enough, they have given us some complimentary tickets but there is no point when all our clothes are still missing. I don't want to travel with Titan Travel anymore!! Totally not worth your money!!!
TasteofTheDourovalleytourSeptember2023
We have just come back from a tour through the Douro valley with Titan. We were quite surprised at the size of the group (46) as when we have traveled before with them, the groups were around 20. A lot of people were quite elderly, one gentleman being 92 and we lost him quite a few times. We stayed in 3 different hotels from the same range. The first one Termas De São Vicente in Pinafiel should be dropped from their list. It was very outdated with dodgy air conditioning and intermittent wifi in the bedroom. The other hotels were more modern. The food was average for a 3* let alone a 4*. The staff were always helpful but there was a shortage of staff.
The few people in our group needing special dietary treatment (vegan, vegetarians) seemed to take most of the ressources. They expected something special cooked for them every morning and evening meal!
The hotels' location also need to be addressed. They are far too remote and mean unnecessary coach travels.
All in all, it was a pleasant holiday. It was well paced and our tour leader Jacqueline was very competent and helpful. She had a few challenges for sure!
