Insurance4carhire

To protect yourself from the excess costs of damaging a hire car or in the event it gets stolen, you'll need a car hire excess insurance. It is optional insurance coverage that covers the excess a car rental company refuses to pay. Let me paint a scenario for you here. Imagine you're on holiday in Barcelona, Spain and due to your unfamiliarity with their roads, you accidentally damaged paintwork or punctured a tyre. And the repair cost is £600 but your excess with the car rental company is £400. This means you'll have to pay the company £400 while they add the remaining £200. But if you had a car hire excess insurance with an international policy, you can claim the £400 repair cost from them and give it to the car rental company while they balance the remaining £200. Of course, car hire excess insurance isn't free and can be viewed as pricey to some of us. But just like every other insurance out there, it is an attempt to forestall an unfavourable event. Cause in your holiday trip budget, you never planned you'll be spending £400 on car repairs and may be low on cash at that moment. Some companies offer to cover this excess for you with the car hire excess insurance. One of the options out there for this type of insurance is Insurance4carhire. But do they have a good track record? Are their personnel attendants friendly and dedicated? We suggest you read honest customer reviews of Insurance4carhire here to get suggestive answers to your questions.

Daily van hire excess cover

I didn't know how important this insurance was until the Van I hired got into an accident. I usually take the excess car hire whenever I hire a van. On this particular day I hired a van to move houses and the van I was using got damaged when it hit a tree when I was just about to park and the damage was very noticeable. The Insurance4carhire sorted this out very fast. They actually came with a replacement van so that I could continue with my moving activities. I appreciate how fast they responded because It would mean running late with moving to have it repaired and I would have spent a lot more than the insurance I took.

If you are considering insuring with this company do not. You have been warned. In my opinion their claims service is dubious at best, if not worse. They may be slick at take on but in my view act immorally if there is a claim. I make these comments having been involved in the insurance industry for something like 45 years. I insured with this company for something like fifteen years back to back on an annual policy. I then had my first claim. Entirely my fault. The insurers insisted on receiving a document which in my view had no relevamce whatsoever from the Hire Company. The Hire Company declined and/or refused to provide the document. The insurer refused to deal with my claim. After deploying various arguments which I consider morally irreprehensible and involving my bank the Hire Company very generously returned the excess they had charged me which ended my claim. The insurer ought to have paid that money but did not do so. It is my opinion the insurer engaged in pure claims avoidance and acted contrary to treating the customer faily and FCA Regulations; which I intend taking up with the FCA. I knew what I was doing. You will have to judge if this company deploys these tactics against you will you know what to do.
I now insure with an alternative provider and I suggest you do the same if you want security in the event of a claim
