Natural gas or methane is a fossil fuel that burns cleaner than other fossil fuels such as coal or oil. Gas is usually transformed into LNG short for liquefied natural gas that has been cooled to minus 162 degrees Celsius so it can be shipped by sea, rail or truck without being in its gaseous form.
