Gas fuels vehicles, such as cars, trucks, buses and trains. It is a hydrocarbon mixture that consists mostly of methane gas and ethane gas with small amounts of propane and butane. The oil and gas production sector make up more than three per cent of the global economy.
Gasoline or petrol is a type of fuel used in internal combustion engines. Gasoline is made from crude oil. Natural gas or methane is a fossil fuel that burns cleaner than other fossil fuels such as coal or oil. Gas is usually transformed into LNG short for liquefied natural gas that has been cooled to minus 162 degrees Celsius so it can be shipped by sea, rail or truck without being in its gaseous form.
