Whilst buying the latest electronics is something we all aspire to do every time a new one is released, the harsh reality is that circumstances and life do not always permit us to do so. Ultimo Electronics has decided to attempt to help by not only providing quality refurbished electronics but also by trying to simulate the experience of buying a new electronic. About Ultimo Electronics
Ultimo Electronics was founded in March 2014 by Josh Hannan and Conor Flint. However, it was not until 2016, when they bought the customer returns from a well-known retailer and proceeded to start selling the items on eBay, that Hannan and Flint realised that there was a niche market for quality refurbished electronics. Consequently, as a result of the previously mentioned, Ultimo Electronics started its growth into the company they are today. The main aim and purpose of Ultimo Electronics, for Hannan and Flint, was, back in 2014, and currently still is, in 2022, to provide great quality refurbished electronics at lower prices, all the while attempting to simulate the experience of buying a new electronic.
Products and services offered by Ultimo Electronics
Ultimo Electronics’ product range consists of refurbished portable electronics such as smartphones, both Apple and Samsung, for the time being, Apple iPad tablets, Apple smartwatches, laptops, gaming consoles and accessories for the previously mentioned. It should be noted, however, that given the nature of the business model of Ultimo Electronics, whilst the brands and types of electronics they carry may remain the same for extended periods, the individual model variants will remain semi-constant state of flux.

Ultimo Electronics offers on their website a breakdown of their refurbished grades. Ultimo Electronics accepts eight (8) payment methods, including Mastercard, Maestro, Visa, Visa Electron, American Express, Solo, Direct Debit and Paypal. Ultimo Electronics asks that you allow for a three (3) to five (5) working day grace period after purchasing your order. Ultimo Electronics also offers a 12-month warranty period from the date of purchase of your item. Ultimo Electronics provides a 30-day, after the day of purchase, no-fuss refund period. Supplyfaultyiphone
I would steer clear of this company. They supplied a ‘refurbished’ iphone which had a broken volume button and which, according to Apple, had a hardware problem. Both of these issues would have been present and would have been apparent if the phone had genuinely been refurbished.
I sent the phone back to Ultimo who returned the phone with the same faults. I returned again, asking for a replacement, but they have refunded instead, bizarrely, deducting the postage, which I paid, from the total sum and which Ultimo had agreed to refund.
My experience suggests that Ultimo does not check these phones before supplying, let alone refurbish them, but supplies phones ‘as is’ You would do better to buy a cheaper used phone from ebay.
iPhone
Bought iPhone. Didn’t hear anything 7 days later despite it having a 3-5 days target delivery. When I called they said it wasn’t available and I could get another. I refused and asked for a refund. That was the last contact we had. They didn’t send confirmation of the refund. All contact ceased. I made a chargeback claim with bank.
Do not buy from them or you will be like the rest of us here who wished we had read and believed the reviews.
